Here Are Our Top Tips for the Spring Selling Season

Historically, the real estate industry experiences a lull across the winter months.

But as we move into the warmer months a renewed energy takes over and a flurry of activity comes into play for the last push of the year.

After an eventful year where the market has been at the behest of interest rate hikes, international conflict, tax changes and inflation woes, at Witheriff Group we’re feeling encouraged by the prospect of more stability and a heightened energy to ensure 2026 delivers quality results.

It’s a season we’re dubbing a Spring Awakening.

The water is warmer, the local flora is blooming, the days are longer and our commitment to waking up the market with a big drive in sales to close out 2026.

If you’re thinking about selling your home Spring is the perfect time to prepare your home to take the next step in your property journey. We spoke to Associate Director of Sales Jordan Brown to get his expert advice on a successful selling campaign this spring season.

Jordan Brown, Associate Director of Sales.

When assessing how the back half of 2026 could play out, Brown says he foresees a calming of the waters after a particularly volatile first six months of the year. If those conditions level out it could provide fertile ground for both sellers and buyers.

“It’s always hard to know exactly what will happen,” he says.

“However I believe there will be some stability returning. The market has been very unpredictable over the last six months and I think coming into spring with additional buyers in the space we will see more transactions closer to the asking price on each property.”

So, if you’re looking to take advantage of more stable conditions, sellers are urged to leave no stone unturned when it comes to a focus on the details of a property. Brown says never has there been a more important time to invest in presentation of a property.

“My top advice is to clean and style the property where needed,” he says. “Presentation is key at the moment.”

First impressions have a huge impact on a campaign in the market, which is why getting your property looking premium is key. Get your painting done, square away minor repairs and given the spring season is upon us – pay extra attention to gardens and outdoor areas.

In terms of spring awakening strategies, Brown has some sage advice for sellers wanting to see results this side of the new year.

“I would encourage sellers to set realistic expectations, and you will enjoy the process more,” he says.

Working with an experienced team to help guide you through your spring campaign is the most essential part of the journey. Connect with the experts, feel energised by the new season ahead and let’s wake up the market.

This is the spring awakening we’ve been waiting for.
